“Mentalize” is the second album from Andre Matos. The compositions are good ones; the classic side done with classic orchestrations is less present as well as the ethnic side. The songs are rather in the speed heavy metal style. Even if they are classic songs, not much original, you’ll find two ballads “Back To You” and “A Lapse In Time» with piano and voice, which are nice and pleasant to listen. Andre Matos is still the very good vocalist that we know. Besides he is supported by choirs for the refrains. The musicians are controlling perfectly their instruments, as you’ll find nice guitars parts and a good and efficient rhythmic section. The compositions are efficient and well done but maybe too classic to be remembering but the songs are maybe a little more darker than the first album “Time To Be Free”. Let’s wait the third one.
