Lion Music 2010
Acacia Avenue is the new project from the danish guitar player Torben Enevoldsen (Section A, Fatal Force), and he is surrounded by Tony Mills (TNT, Shy), Geir Ronning (Radioactive, Prisoner) and Torben Lysholm (Pangea, Mysterell). Thomas Heintzelmann (Section A, Decoy) is at drums and Carsten Neumann (Savage Affair) at bass guitar. If the style of his two other groups is progressive power metal, this new effort is more traditional melodic hard rock. All through the album you’ll have nice melodies with nice vocals lines and nice guitars lines. The guitars are powerful, heavy and intensive and the soli well at place and well done. The vocalist’s voices are well at place, deep, right, which go well with the style of the songs and supported with chorus in refrains typically 80s. The album is a good balance between strong and heavy songs, ballad, mid tempos ones. You won’t be disappointed by this album especially if you like groups such as Dokken, Toto.
