Last Warning is a progressive metal group which is coming from Italy and which has released « Throughout Time ». The group is not new on the scene as it exists since 1987 but it has changed between vocalist, drummer and label … The compositions are very good quality ones and are in no case inaccessible. We of course have some technique passages and somehow complex ones on the guitars level or keyboards ones but the whole stay accessible. Fabio Del Sal, the new vocalist of the group has a superb voice, melodic, rather high pitched but who knows to vary vocally, bringing an emotional touch when needed. We have also female vocals present in the track « In the Flood », the vocals duo is superb and all in feeling. Musically the compositions are well structured with good guitars soli and melodic keyboards layers even if I think that they could be put more in front sometimes … The tracks are not “heavy”, neither aggressive, even if some riffs are powerful. The album in more than one hour length but it is in no case long in the sese where you do not get bored when listening this one. If you are fans of Rush and other progressive groups, this album « Throughout Time » won’t let you indifferent.
