« Start The Race » is the second album from the French group Boneshaker and the second one that I review. The previous opus let show good future perspective for this group and this second album just confirms it … this album is excellent !!!
Vocally Chris has a voice which perfectly goes with the style of the group, he is well in phase with the music. The hard rock style of the group is much varied with influences which are taken among others in the blues, relatively fast with titles which must take all their dimension on stage as they are pretty good. The rhythmic are fast in great majority with an efficient rhythmic section. The riffs are incisive, direct and the soli well place;
Boneshaker does not forget melody, because the tracks all being well hard rock always keep a melodic aspect more or less marked. The group also uses harmonica in « Boncha TV », well bluesy title.
To be short an excellent album from the beginning to the end for the hard rock fans that I can only recommend you.
