“Immortal Flame” is the third album from the french group Phenix. Without being innovative neither brings something new to the style, we can say that this « Immortal Flame » is rather well done as a whole even if the compositions stay in great majority classic and foreseeable. The musicians are excellent and also is the vocalist. Bertrand Gramond has a melodic voice, well at place but he also knows to be aggressive. It is a varied album with powerful tracks and slower titles and nice instrumental parts with good guitars playing. A certain work has been done on the guitars level. One only bemol comes from the production that I find as an average. It is difficult to take out one track rather than another one as it is homogenous and without any real musical anthems. It still is a nice album to listen from the beginning to the end.
