I has discovered the swiss group Silver Dirt when its vocalist Silver Steff sent me the live DVD “Sonic Live 2006” that I had reviewed and appreciated, and it is with pleasure that I find again the group with its new album “Never Give Up”. The style of the group is a mix of sleaze/hard rock which takes its influences in different groups such as Kiss, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, among others… but also in the blues even country when you listen to some riffs. To say that it is an album which will revolutionize the world of music would be a lie, here we “simply” have good tracks even very good tracks, well melodic, singing and played by a well at place vocalist and musicians who know and control their instruments and who share with us their passion for music. The riffs are powerful and melodic and the soli are excellent like the one of « Leave It alone ». The rhythmic section is well at place and efficient. It is a group who is used to tour, and you can feel it in the tracks because we have the feeling that they are make for stage because they are in great majority energetic and rhythmed.
