Manitou Music/Socadisc Release : october 2008 Tracklist « No Light But Rather Darkness Visible » : Over You Sickness Destination Still Here Hide These Words Devil’s Dance Paralized Weak Being Foreign Land No Light But Rather Darkness Visible Karmic Link is a symphonic/gothic and progressive metal group and « No Light But Rather Darkness Visible » is its first album. The keyboards are the central elements of the tracks. Mina G. comes to put her crystal-clear voice on the melodies. The tracks are melodic and dark and the ambiences are very often support by the using of samples like for example in « Paralized », among others. The compositions have sometimes complex structures even if I do not personally find the finality of it… some passages are energetic and melodic at the same times and we often have long atmospheric flights. We have guest on this album, Bob Katsionis (Firewind) and Jani Liimatainen (Sonata Arctica) who is making soli on the two instrumental tracks. Without being an album to throw because we have very good melodic musical passages especially in the instrumentals, I find this album an average, mayb a little too smooth. Line up : Mina G. (chant) (vocals) Elias K. (guitare) (guitars) Alex S. (basse) (bass) Stathis Kassios (claviers) (keyboards) Manos M. (batterie) (drums) Contacts : http://www.myspace.com/karmiclink
